A Place in the Sun will return for a new series on April 26. As usual, the Channel 4 series will see the presenters helping couples or individuals find their dream home abroad.
And this time there is a new presenter – Lee Juggurnauth.
The real estate developer will be joining current presenters Laura Hamilton, Jasmine Harman, Jonnie Irwin and Scarlette Douglas on the new series, and we’ll see him on his first assignment helping couple Davi and Debbie find a summer home in Gandia, in Spain.
So who is he? Here’s everything you need to know about Lee Juggurnauth, the new presenter of A Place in the Sun.
Who is Lee Juggurnauth?
Lee is a real estate developer and has worked all over the world, creating beautiful homes and places for his clients.
He grew up in Windsor and between 7 and 10 years old, he lived for a few years in Mauritius, where his parents are from.
He has a specific passion for interiors, telling RadioTimes.com before his debut on A Place in the Sun: “I love the property, I love the interiors and this is something that I have learned myself over the past 10 years. So being able to help other people on the show is great.
Although he now works in real estate, Lee has a background in the music industry, where he started out as a runner before joining management.
Throughout his career he has worked with bands like Lulu, Billy Ocean and Take That.
Lee is also interested in fashion and is launching his own brand this summer.
Lee is looking forward to joining the Channel 4 show and meeting his co-hosts, whom he hasn’t had the chance to get to know properly due to restrictions caused by the pandemic.
However, they were in contact via the zoom, with Scarlette in particular contacting the new host.
“It was really difficult because neither of us met anyone in particular the presenters. When I left and shot in November, it was great with the production team. But the other presenters, we only know each other virtually or have had a few zooms. Scarlette is awesome. She kind of contacted me when I first had the show and was just very encouraging. They have all been amazing. All of the presenters were very welcoming. So we hope that maybe this summer we can all meet at some point.
A Place in the Sun returns Monday April 26 at 3pm on Channel 4. To find out what else is on TV, check out our TV guide or visit our hub for more entertainment information.
